Old Bay Ramen

My son loves Top Ramen, that's all he ever wants to eat. I was so fed up with the basic Top Ramen. Don't get me wrong its good, but it's only so many ways you can make Top Ramen. I wish you guys could have seen me pulling everything out of the fridge that I used for other recipes.You know how you need 1/2 cup of shredded carrots, but it's cheaper to buy a bag then one stinking carrot? I know you guys totally understand me on this one. That’s how this recipe came into play,  bit of this a little bit of that.


Old Bay Ramen




Prep Time: 5 min
Cook Time: 7 min

Ingredients:
  • 4 Boiled Eggs (sliced in half)
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 7 cups of water
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ cup of frozen pepper strips
  • ½ cup of finely sliced carrots
  • ½ cup of sliced mushrooms
  • 12 oz of shrimp
  • 1 tsp of minced ginger
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp of old bay seasoning
  • ½ tbsp of garlic salt
  • 3 packs of shrimp noodles ( save 2 seasoning packets)
  • Green onions for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Boil water and broth in a large pot.
  2. Add peppers, mushroom, garlic and ginger. Cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Add shrimp seasoning, soy sauce, garlic salt and old bay seasoning.
  4. Next, add noodles, shrimp, and carrots. Cook for 3 minutes.( Tip**** I don’t like mushy noodles, I prefer al dente’)
  5. Ladle ramen in a bowl.
  6. Add sliced eggs, garnish with green onions, add a pinch of old bay.
  7. ENJOY!
