Mr.Pibb Baked Wings

"Do you like soda?Wings? How about we mix them together? "



I love wings, but Lord knows I don't need no more fried food!So I had to come up with something I believe is a little better.(keyword: I believe LOL!)I like my wings with lots of sauce. These wings are both savory and sweet, thanks to Mr. Pibb.

Mr.Pibb Baked Wings


Prep Time: 7 min
Cook Time: 40 min


Ingredients:

  • 20 chicken drummettes
  • 12 oz Mr.Pibb
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbs cornstarch
  • 2 tbs  hot sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 oz salted butter ( 2Tbs)
  • 2 tbs season salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbs dried parsley

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven 450℉.
  2. Spray baking sheet with vegetable oil.
  3. Arrange wings on baking sheet, season the wings with season salt and pepper.
  4. Place wings in the oven for 30 minutes.
  5. In a medium frying pan melt the butter.
  6. Now that the butter is melted, add the cornstarch.
  7. Whisk in the Mr.Pibb.
  8. Add the brown sugar, hot sauce and minced garlic.
  9. Simmer on medium- high for 10 minutes.( The sauce should resemble maple syrup consistency.)
  10. Coat wings with the sauce, garnish with parsley.
  11. Serve!
*****Tips/ Tricks: Make the sauce while the wings are baking.
